"Creep" was the name of the game for the 2012 Black Friday store hours, with retail stores opening their doors to shoppers all throughout Thanksgiving Day and night. So far, the Christmas Day retail creep has crept mostly towards early Christmas Eve 2012 store opening hours, with very few extremely late Christmas Eve 2012 store hours.
Except for the usual list of stores open Christmas Day, no major retail chains have announced an intention to have retail store doors open on Christmas Day - at least not yet. There are still a good number of major retail chains that have remained conspicuously quiet about their store hours for December 24, 25, and 26th. Perhaps there's a little game of retail store hour chicken going on?
The first retail chain to defy the sanctity of Christmas Day with retail store hours is sure to be the one to bear the brunt of Christmas creep critics. It's not clear whether any new retailers are going to be brave enough to try and creep from Christmas Eve store hours to Christmas Day store hours, but it is sure that there are few - if any - retail chains that are not open on December 24, 2012.
What follows is a complete list of all confirmed store hours for Christmas Eve 2012. More December 24th store opening and closing times for last-minute Christmas shopping will be added to the list as they become available until this is a completely complete roundup of Christmas Eve store hours for all major U.S. retail chains.
