end-user

By Barbara Farfan, About.com

Definition: The person who uses a product that has been manufactured and marketed. Based on the idea that the “end goal” of a manufactured product is for it to be useful to the consumer.
Examples: Even though the zookeeper was the customer who purchased the elephant chow, the pachyderm that consumed it was the end-user.
