Top American Retailers Not Mobile Ready for Android Platform Phones & Tablets

39 Largest U.S. Retail Chains With No Mobile Shopping Apps in Android Apps Store

By

As of February, 2013, there were still a surprising number of U.S. retail chains that didn’t have any type of mobile retailing app available at all. Even more surprising is the fact that some U.S. retail chains that had developed a mobile retailing app for Apple mobile devices, had not also adapted their mobile shopping app for users with Android platform mobile phones and tablets, even though mobile research and statistics confirm that there are more Android mobile and tablet devices in use around the world than Apple iPhones and iPads.

What follows is a list of retailers who did not have an official mobile app in the Android App store as of February, 2013. The list is arranged in alphabetical order according to the name of the retail company. The asterisk next to a retail company’s name indicates that they have created an Apple mobile retailing app, but not Android version of that retail app for Android mobile users. Stores without asterisks next to their name had neither Apple nor Android mobile retailing apps available in February, 2013
